Ayew: No transfer aspirations

Jordan Ayew has no intention of pushing for a move away from Marseille, as coach Elie Baup agrees a contract extension.

Speculation has once again suggested that Ayew could soon be on the move, with the 21-year-old having been linked with clubs across Europe - with St Etienne said to be leading the chase.

The Ghana international is, however, tied to a contract which is due to run until 2015 and has no desire to break that agreement and try his luck elsewhere.

Ayew told L'Equipe: "I believe I have learnt to be patient. I don't want to leave. I have everything at this club to be a success.

"You always want more, but I won't complain. I played a lot of matches last season. My work will pay off - I don't know when, but it will pay off."

Meanwhile, Marseille chairman Vincent Labrune has revealed that Baup, who led the club to a runners-up spot in Ligue 1 last season, has agreed to remain at Stade Velodrome until at least 2015.

He said: "Elie has adapted perfectly. Sometimes it feels like he has been at the club 10 years.

"He is so efficient and competent that we have decided to prolong his contract for one more season."
