Ghana FA Executive Committee member Wilfred Osei wants coach Avram Grant to cut down on his trips abroad and remain in the country to monitor local players.

The former Chelsea boss has spent minimal time in Ghana since being handed the coaching reigns of the Black Stars late last year.

Grant is almost all the time touring Europe and other parts of the world over claims he is monitoring players.

But GFA Executive Committee member Wilfred Osei wants the Israeli trainer to remain in the country.

“I don’t understand why the coach is not in the country to monitor our local matches,” he said.

“Modern football has developed to some extent that you don’t need to be physically present to monitor players abroad.

“It is in the country that the work is even more harder because then you will have to unearth players.

“The coach must be advised to stay in the country and monitor the local players.”
