Avram Grant best fits Stars’ job – Sam Johnson

Retired Ghana defender Sam Johnson, also known as ‘Foyoo’, has hinted that former Chelsea Sporting Director, Avram Grant, is the best man for the vacant Black Stars coaching job based on his rich track record.

Despite handling the Israeli national team between 2002 and 2006 and leading Partizan Belgrade to the Serbian Super League triumph in 2012, the 59-year-old Grant guided Chelsea to the final of the UEFA Champions League final in 2008.

Sam Johnson believes Avram Grant would be the right replacement for Kwasi Appiah.

In an interview with Starr FM in Accra, Sam said, “At this time, we need someone who is tough, strong, and stubborn like Bukuard Ziese when he come, he will do what he likes and will tell you when I’m wrong, sack me. So for me, looking at Grant and his rich experience, such a person I think is the best man for the job”.
