Ovwien, Delta State, Nov 3, GNA - Yaa Avoe and Anita Wiredu-Minta have been ruled out of the Ghana Black Queen's third group game billed against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) on Saturday. The duo picked up various knocks during the team's game against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon last Wednesday.

The Ghanaians won that game 2-1.

The two players were unable to train with their colleagues on Thursday and coach Isaac Paha told the GNA Sports in Ovwien that the players will begin a progressive training today in search of recovery.

The players are however expected to be ready when the Queens meet either the Super Falcons of Nigeria or the Bayana Bayana of South Africa at the next stage of the competition.

Avoe was pulled out during recess in the clash against the Cameroonians and was replaced by Ama Saabi.

Saabi is expected to start tomorrow's game in the absence of the experienced defender.

Sheila Okine who lost her place to Wiredu-Minta in the game against the Cameroonians is also expected to start this duel.
