Australian-born Ghanaian Yeboah scores in A-League top-liner

Australian-born Ghanaian youngster Kwame Yeboah was on target in the A-league for Brisbane Roar who thrashed Western Sydney 3-1.

Yeboah, who was returning to action after an injury, scored one of the best goals of the season by cutting inside from the left and hitting a ferocious shot with his right foot to give his side a three-one lead in the 91st minute which ended the away side’s unbeaten run.

First half goals from Besart Berisha and Ivan Franjic before an injury-time sealer by 19-year-old Yeboah helped Roar to beat the Wanderers for the first time in five attempts in front of 19,066 fans at Suncorp Stadium to maintain their top spot on the table.

The player of Ghanaian descent has not been capped at any level by the Socceroos and he is eligible to play for Ghana.
