Chelsea loanee Christian Atsu wants to return to Stamford Bridge to command a regular spot in Jose Mourinho's team after joining the English giants from FC Proto in 2013.

The 23-year-old Ghana midfielder has not kicked a ball for the Blues, and has been farmed out on loan in the past three seasons to Vitesse Arnhem, Everton and Bournemouth.

“It's my dream to play for Chelsea,” Atsu told BBC.

“But right now, I have to focus on Bournemouth. If I don't play here there is no way I will get a chance at Chelsea.

"Of course I'm not happy that I'm not playing in the Premier League because I came here to play.”

Atsu has played only five games in the Premier League with only one start while at Everton last season.

"Going out on loan is very difficult, you have to keep moving and taking your family with you and that is not easy. But that is the life, and you have to accept it,” he said.

The Black Star made his debut and only competitive appearance for Bournemouth on August 25 in a 4-0 win over Hartlepool in the League Cup.

"I'm settling in well at Bournemouth, everything is step by step but things are good with my life and my family," he added.

Atsu has been capped 41 times for Ghana, scoring nine goals.
