Football administrator and a member of the MTN FA Cup Committee Mohammed Alhassan has called on Mr. Ato Ahwoi to intervene in the growing feud between the Ghana FA and the Minister of Youth and Sports Nii Lante Vanderpuye.

To him, the GNPC Boss is in the right position to intervene to settle the differences between the Minister of Youth and Sports, Nii Lante Vanderpuye, and the President of the GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi.

He explained that Mr Ahwoi is highly respected by both parties and his intervention will be timely.

“For me Ahwoi enjoys a lot of respect among the football circles and was instrumental in the clinching of the headline sponsorship of the Black Stars by the GNPC.

“His intervention would be key to easing the tension between the two in the interest of Ghana football”, he argued.

Alhassan, who is also a member of the MTN FA Cup Committee of the GFA, is worried that if steps are not taken to end the feud, Ghana’s 2018 World Cup campaign could be affected.

“We are at the crossroads and if care is not taken, Ghana will miss the next World Cup,” he stated.
