Ass. Coach Attacked As Training Is Called Off

Trouble is brewing in the camp of defending league and African Champions, Accra Hearts of Oak with fans going on the rampage this morning. The care-taker Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Ofei Ansah, was this morning attacked by irate fans of the club at the teams training grounds. This is fallout of the management’s call for head coach, Cecil Jones Attuquayefio to proceed on leave.

Ofei Ansah is now under armed police guard after the threat on his life by the fans. Head coach, Cecil Jones Attuquayefio intervened to restore calm after Ofei Ansah pleaded with him to save the situation.

However, the fans shouted “No Jones, No Training”, and forced the training session to be called off.

The fans accuse Ofei Ansah of stabbing his boss in the back by not turning down management’s offer to coach Hearts of Oak after Attuquayefio was asked to proceed on leave.

Ansah broke down in tears talking to JOYonline explaining that it was a management decision, which he could not question.

The fans are calling for the directive for Coach Attuquayefio to proceed on a 24-week leave to be suspended or else they would not allow any training sessions.

The Hearts Board is meeting this evening to find a solution to the problem.
