Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa district emerge champions of inter zonals

Breman Asikuma (C/R) Feb.9, GNA - Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa dDistrict schools emerged champions in the under "12" inter zonal district games held at Asikuma on Saturday.

They bagged five gold, one silver and two bronze to place first. Mfantseman District placed second with two gold, four silver and two bronze, while Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam took the third (last) position with one gold, three silver, and four bronze medals.

The games, organised by the Central Region Schools and Colleges Sports Association was to select potential sports boys and girls to represent the Region during the forthcoming Regional Sports Festival scheduled to come off at Agona Swedru this year. The district teams competed for honors in athletics, volleyball, table tennis and soccer.
