Ashia eyes top four finish with Liberty

Former Ghana Black Satellites attacking midfielder Kennedy Ashia is eyeing to propel Liberty Professionals to the higher ranks of the special league which will be played this season.

The 21-year-old is in the fold of the Black Meteors preparing for the impending qualifiers and has outlined his visions for his club this season.

“My aim is to work hard with my club so that we can achieve a top four finish in the league which will come on this season,” Ashia told Goal Ghana.

The hugely talented youngster who spent six months on loan at Norwegian side Brann also explained his no show at the club.

“I didn't start preseason with them so I think it was the main problem, and besides it was a loan too. I will do my best here and wait for a right offer to come from Europe before I go,” Ashia added.

Ashia also denied rumours circulating around in the media that he has signed for Kotoko and insisted he is still a Liberty player.

“Kotoko made an offer for me after the U-20 World Cup in Turkey last year but after the end of last season, my management told me nothing about Kotoko. I only heard on radio that I have signed for them. I am still a player of Liberty, I have not signed for any club,” he clarified.
