Ashantigold name 18-man squad for Etoile

Accra, March 15, GNA - Obuasi Ashantigold have named an 18-member squad for this weekend's CAF Confederation Cup round of 16 clash against Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel at the Olympic Stadium in Sousse.

The Miners will face their Tunisian counterparts in the first leg clash on Sunday, March 20 and are hoping for a convincing result. Head coach Zdravko Logarusic told GNA Sports that 18 players will represent the team for the encounter against the 2006 winners of the second tier continental club championship.

He said the team would depart for Tunisia on Wednesday and are expected to return on next week Tuesday.

The team will be led by Chief Executive Officer, Kudjoe Fianoo for the trip to face the seven-time Tunisian champions. Below is the full list of the team:

Squad: Goalkeepers: Fatau Dauda, Melvin King

Defenders: Michael Boakye, Henri Traore, Henry Entsir, John Ashong, Daniel Asamoah, Nana Yaw Afriyie

Midfielders: Alhaji Sannie, Issahaku Zakari, Eugene Owusu Prempeh, Emmanuel Adjetey, Aminu Mohamed

Attackers: Sadat Karim, Edmund Owusu Peprah, Theophilus Anobaah, Addoquaye Addo, Yakubu Mohammed.
