AshantiGold coach Joachim Yaw Acheampong says 'unfair' officiating denied his side the 2012 MTN Ghana FA Cup trophy.
The ex-international has hit out at referee Joseph Lamptey after his side lost 1-0 to New Edubiase United at the Accra Sports Stadium with ten men.
Midfielder Eric Opoku was sent off for a second bookable offence after fouling Edubiase player Emmanuel Mensah.
Acheampong, who last captained AshantiGold to win the competition in 1993, claims his side were handed a raw deal by the centre-man.
"We lost as a result of bad officiating. I'm not someone who usually speaks on officiating but he was appalling on the afternoon." Acheampong said in a post-match interview.
Ibrahim Moro's 50th minute thunderous free-kick won the trophy for the Bekwai-based side.
