Asare hopeful of Amidaus return to the GPL

Amidaus Professionals midfielder Collins Asare has returned to the pitch after spending the past three months undergoing treatments for a twisted ankle he sustained during a friendly match.

He tells Goal he is happy to regain his game form, promising to give his best this season to help the Tema-base club clinch a promotion back to the Ghana Premier League.

“I feel very good and happy to be back. I have been working very hard in training and by the grace of God all is well. I'm fully fit and ready to return to play once again,” Asare told Goal.

“The fans will see the best of me this season. I'm in high spirit and can't wait to be on the field. My main aim is to help Amidaus gain promotion back to the Premier League,” he said.

The former FC Nania star will now have to face competition in the midfield from players like Titus Kassim, Stephen Amissah, Richard Lartey and Sani Aborah, which he however believes is beneficial for the entire team.

“We have so many good players and that means we will eventually have a very good team,” he said.

“With the squad we have now, there is hope we’ll be back to the Premiership next season. I have faith in my team and believe we can succeed.”

Asare will be available for selection when Amiduas travel to face Hot Steel FC in the Division One League game on Sunday.
