Asante Kotoko coach Steve Polack is feeling buoyant ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup clash against Congolese side CARA Brazzaville.

The Porcupine Warriors will host the Congolese side in Kumasi in a first leg of the first preliminary round match on February 11, 2018 with the return match slated for Brazzavile for 20th/21st February this year.

And Coach Polack has cast his sights on leading the club to the group stages of the competition.

“I believe that we will get through to the next preliminary round. The players must believe that and that’s what I want. I have always had a winning mentality.

“Training has been okay. We are going in the right direction. We have ten days to get it right. The preseason games have been going well and I’m pleased.

“We are not yet at the level I want but hopefully in the next ten days we would be ready for the crucial game,” Pollack told reporters at the club’s Confederation Cup campaign launch.

With the Porcupines searching for continental success in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup, expectations will certainly be on the high after they suffered early exits in their last three campaigns.

The return leg for the CARA fixture is slated for February 20th/21st this year in Republic of the Congo.
