Asante Kotoko have parted ways with 13 players ahead of the start of the new season.
Notable on the list are Frank Boateng, John Kuffour and Afranie Yeboah who played bit part roles last season.
The duo opted for their release from their contracts for more playing time.
Centre-back Kuffour, who has one more year left on his contract, was told he has no place in the team.
Defender Sabato Mohamed has been transferred to Medeama Sporting Club.
Six players from the Reserves side Frederick Sarpong, Ibrahim Alhassan, Goalkeeper Rashid Seidu, Charles Agyei-Mensah, Michael Sarpong and Glorious Obeng have been released.
Another Under-20 player David Owusu-Ansah put in a request for his release out of his contract.
Mumuni Mustapha and Emmanuel Adu-Ofei will be sent out on loan to a yet to be identified for first team experience. .
