Cabinda, Angola, Jan. 18, GNA - Black Stars midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah picked the Samsung Fair Play Award, after the Ghana - Cote d'Ivoire match last Friday in the Group B game of the 27th Africa Cup Nations in Cabinda, Angola.

Nimble footed Asamoah who made his debut Nations Cup appearance for Ghana, exhibited a lot of talent with superb delivery of two free kicks to the admiration of fans at the stadium even though the kicks missed target narrowly. The Udinese player, one of the brightest spot in the Ghanaian set up, took home a brand new Samsung mobile phone and certificate as his prize. Ivorian striker Yao Gervinho who was a constant threat to the Ghanaian defence and fetched the opener for his side with an easy tap won the Player of the Match award. Even though Gervinho did not end the game as he was substituted before the last ten minutes of the game, his marks were enough to win him the prestigious award.
