Asamoah will be ready for Socceroos

Milovan Rajevac says Kwadwo Asamoah will be ready for Ghana’s next game against Australia at the World Cup.

The attacking player who survived some crunching tackles in the opening win against Serbia last Saturday in Group D was substituted as the game traveled into the last quarter at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

Rajevac explains that the replacement of the player was just a precautionary measure with Asamoah having skipped a few sessions in the run up to the first game.

“Asamoah missed a few training sessions before our first game. He only did light training and trained twice.

“So, we had to be careful with him. We had to substitute him at a point in such a big tough game.

“We didn’t want to risk him too much,” Rajevac said on Monday at a Ghana press conference in Pretoria.
