Asamoah to clash with Boateng in Coppa Italia final

Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah and Kevin-Prince Boateng would face each other in the Coppa Italia final after Juventus beat Inter Milan to set a date with the Rossoneris.

Boateng had reached the final with Milan on Tuesday after he starred in their 5-0 hammering of lower-tier side Alessandria and wrapped up their qualification to the final with a 6-0 aggregate win.

Boateng was a second-half substitute by Milan at the San Siro in the game.

On Wednesday night, midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah announced his return from injury with a key performance for Juventus - last 86 minutes at the Giuseppe Meazza as the Old Ladies lost 3-0 against Inter but won 5-4 on penalties.

The two players will clash in a game for the first time since Kevin Boateng's return to Milan this winter.

While Boateng is suspended by Ghana for international games, Asamoah's return to fitness will come a massive injury boost for Ghana as the West African giants as set to face Mozambique at the Accra Sports Stadium in the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.

Head coach Avram Grant, who has been ordered by the Ghana FA to show up in Accra after a long absence from the country, will be delighted with Asamoah's availability
