Asamoah seals Nice deal

... 'Dede' Ayew's Debut Postponed
French Ligue One side Nice have completed the signing of Ghanaian striker Derek Asamoah.
The 26-year-old moves from English League Two side Shrewsbury Town on a three-year contract.

He earned his surprise move to France's top flight after impressing on trial this week.

Asamoah, whose career has been spent in England's lower leagues, scored ten goals in 39 games for Shrewsbury last season.

Meanwhile, his compatriot Andre 'Dede' Ayew has been left out of Marseille's team for their opening match against Strasbourg because of injury.

The 17-year-old, son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele, impressed in all pre-season matches and was expected to sit on the bench in Saturday's game.

But his much anticipated debut in Ligue One has been put off because of the ankle problem as he is expected to be out for ten days.
