Asamoah involved in car crash

Udinese pair Gyan Asamoah and Christian Obodo were injured in a car crash yesterday.

The players were on their way back home after training when the car collided with another vehicle on the road towards Martignacco, in the province of Udine.

Ghanaian international striker Asamoah was unhurt in the crash, but Nigerian midfielder Obodo was taken to a local hospital for treatment to cuts and bruises.

Obodo was driving the car at the time and it's believed he was saved from further harm by the airbag. He has already been released from hospital.
