Black Stars management committee chairman George Afriyie has called on sports minister Nii Lante Vanderpuye to arrange Black Stars friendly games if he believes the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is not doing a good job in that regard.

This comes on the backdrop of claims by the Youth Sports Minister that he won’t sanction the Ghana vs South Africa friendly because Ghana won’t gain financially from it.

The GFA Veep in an interview with Happy FM disclosed that “if the Minister thinks we are not doing a good work then he should arrange friendlies and we will play”.

The relationship between the FA and Sports Ministry has been a sour one since Nii Lante took over as the sector minister and the current situation will do nothing good to the already poor relationship.

Both the Ghana Football Association officials and the sports minister are in Tamale preparing for the Black Stars Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier opener against the Cranes OF Uganda on Friday October 7, 2016.
