Appiah injured, Mensah OK

Stephen Appiah met with the Fenerbache technical director yesterday to discuss his reaction at his substitution, over the weekend, in the game against Kayserispor

Appiah was infuriated at the coach Zico and quarreled with the assistant trainer Edu.

After the meeting, the midfielder started training, however, he had to quit early, due to pains in his knee. He will go in for a check-up on his injury today.

Fenerbahçe was preparing for a game against Be?ikta? for the Turkish Cup semi-finals, in which they lost 1-0.

Meanwhile, John Mensah came back from Ghana last Thursday and missed Saturday's league match (young Guillaume Borne replaced him). He was hospitalised in Ghana, according to a local internet site, due to a mysterious illness.

However, the situation is much better for John Mensah now as he has been training normally according to the official internet site of Stade Rennais. If his recovery is confirmed, then John Mensah will be playing against Le Mans in the next League game.
