Apau Asiedu tips Assifuah for greatness

Medeama SC and Ghana youth winger Jacob Apau Asiedu has tipped the 2013 FIFA Under 20 World Cup Golden Boot winner Ebenezer Assifuah to make it big in world football.

Asiedu, who could not made the cut for Ghana’s World Youth Cup squad in Turkey 2013, told Takoradi-based Skyy Power FM that Assifuah has what it takes to become one of the top strikers in world football after watching him help Ghana to win third place by scoring six goals.

He said: “I have known Assifuah from his days at Eleven Wise through to Liberty Professionals before we met up at the Black Satellites camp and I wasn't surprised to see him score 6 goals to emerge as top scorer. He is destined for big things in world football.”

Asiedu, who is currently on a season-long loan deal at Armenian club FC Shirak, also praised the playing, technical and management staff of the Black Satellites for their performance, even though he was not part of the team.

“The entire contingent did so well to raise the flag of Ghana high and I praise them for that. They have done very well,” he added.
