Anthony Baffoe backs Dede to lead Swansea City to safety

Former Ghana international Anthony Baffoe says Swansea City cannot play without Ghanaian Andre Ayew and is certain the winger will guide the Wales based club to safety this season.

Ayew has 8 goals and two assists since joining the Premier League side from Marseille in the summer.

Despite the 25-year-old’s efforts Swansea is still faced with the prospects of going down to the champions if things do not improve.

Francesco Guidolin's side are 16th on the league table after 26 round of games and just three points off safety.

But Anthony Baffoe who played for Koln and Metz in the past says the hard working Ghanaian will keep the team afloat.

“He is tired is your observation and not mine but I think that in every league season there are phases,” Baffoe told Citi-sports

“Phases where you would do well and other phases where you will struggle.”

“But I do not think Swansea City can play without Andre giving the position in which they find themselves.”

“There will need all their key players and he is certainly one of them.”

The Swans will be hoping Ayew is among the goals when they take on Tottenham Hotspur next weekend.
