Annan and Baah crash out of Europa League after defeat

Ghanaian duo Anthony Annan and Gideon Baah had their Europa League campaign ended on Thursday night after their HJK Helsinki side lose 2-1 against Club Brugge.

The former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak players lasted the entire regulation minutes at the Jan Breydelstadion but things turn out in agonising fashion as they exited.

HJK had shown a lot of spirit going into the game after winning their two previous games and were hoping to upset Brugge for their qualification to the next round but got disappointed.

Annan, who returned from suspension to play in the game was impressive in midfield while Baah was booked in the 10th minute
