Angolan referee to handle Ghana-Zimbabwe CHAN clash

Khartoum, Sudan, Feb. 8, GNA - Angolan referee Martins de Carvalho Helder will direct affairs from the middle when Ghana plays Zimbabwe in the day two Group B clash of the CHAN 2011 in Wad Madan, Sudan.

It will be the 34-year old referee's first game at the tournament meant for local footballers in the African continent.

His last match was the final of the CAF U-17 between Burkina Faso and hosts Rwanda few weeks ago in Kigali.

Information gathered by GNA Sports in Khartoum has it that Helder will be assisted by Patrick Bimbyo of Gabon and Marwa Aden Range of Kenya with Cameroonian Mohamadou Mal Souley serving as the fourth official. President of the Djibouti Football Federation, Hussein Fadoul is the Match Commissioner and Massa Diara of Mauritania the General Coordinator. The Stars must avoid defeat to stay in contention for a place at the next round of the tournament.
