All set for Burkina 2003

The eight qualifiers for the 2003 Under-20 Nations Cup in Burkina Faso are now known. Several of the continent's footballing powers will not be there. Cameroon's youngsters were knocked out by Ivory Coast, after they managed a draw in Abidjan.

The Flying Eagles paid the price for losing at home to Morocco in the first leg. In stark contrast to Nigeria, Gabon were celebrating, as they swept past Togo to qualify for their first Under-20 tournament.

Egypt and Mali qualified comfortably, eliminating Mozambique and Zimbabwe respectively.

It was more complicated for South Africa and Ghana.

Ghana only got past Tunisia on penalties, after the two-legged tie finished 1-1.

South Africa walloped Zambia 3-0 at home to qualify on away goals, after having lost the first leg 4-1.
