All set for Brazil 2014 draws on Dec 6

The focus of the world is now on the pairings for the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup to known on December 6.

The top rated countries by the FIFA/Coca-Cola Ranking would be seeded and that would be the real time for planning for the Championship. The distribution of teams in Pot 1 for the World Cup Final Draw on 6 December is as follows: Brazil, Spain, Germany, Argentina, Columbia, Belgium and Switzerland are definitely in Pot 1. Uruguay are also in the first pot. The Netherlands and Italy also have the points but they will not make it to Pot 1

This latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking determines which teams will be seeded for Brazil 2014.

The distribution of teams in Pot 1 will be the highest-positioned teams, which are confirmed by FIFA.

Now that the 31 teams have now qualified for the World Cup in addition to hosts Brazil, the stage is set for the biggest sports festival on earth and for sure Brazil 2014 will be the best World Cup event as the experts have already said.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published after completion of World Cup qualifying on 28 November 2013. The countries that have made it are – Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Cameroon, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Côte d'Ivoire, Croatia, Ecuador, England, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Honduras, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea Republic, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and USA.

Since there are no minnows and minnows in the game of football, all the 32 countries stand as potential champions.

I am very sure some top seeded nations would try to avoid Ghana even at the group stage. The Black Stars look like one of the favourites, just like the host nation and defending champions. This is what a recent Poll reveal:

Which African team will fare best at Brazil 2014?
