Alhaji Bimbo laid to rest

Accra, Aug. 27, GNA - The late Alhaji Mohammed Musa, alias 'Alhaji Bimbo' founder and bankroller of Division One Club side, FC Midtjylland - Maamobi, was on Monday, August 27 laid to rest after a Muslim burial service.

Alhaji Musa died last Thursday, August 23 in Germany after a short illness.

A statement issued by Mohammed Gigi, Vice-President of the Club on behalf of the bereaved family said the burial service of the renowned football administrator took place at noon on Monday at Maamobi inAccra. The late Alhaji Bimbo is credited with the upbringing of several players, both local and foreign based ones as well as the transforming of the Maamobi-based to become one of the best clubs in the country. The tall list of players who went through the hands of founder include the 2005 Premir League Goal-king, Prince Tagoe, currently in Saudi Arabia, Razak Pimpong of Viking FK, Norway, 2006 PLB Best Player, Kweku Essien and a host of others.
