Algeria plan classy football against Ghana

Algeria assistant coach, Nabil Neghiz, has promised the Fennecs (Desert Foxes) will play classy football in their next match against Ghana in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations today.

Algeria won their first match 3-1 against South Africa last Monday but Neghiz admits it was not a commanding performance for his team. Neghiz identified the defence of the Algerian squad as one of the weak points in the match against South Africa.

"In the first match we did many mistakes and we are working now to fix all those mistakes that will not be allowed against a team like Ghana. We are working hard to fix the problems in our defence that made us suffer in the first match.

"Ghana are a kind of team that play very good football and we like to play against that kind of team. So I can promise we will play classy football against them," Neghiz said.

"The Black Stars lost their first game against Senegal and that will make them fight against us, because they will not want to lose a second straight match." Algeria are top of Group C with superior goal difference despite being tied on three points apiece with Senegal.
