Alex Asamoah returns to Kotoko

Asante Kotoko ace striker Alex Asamoah has returned to the club after a spell with a Korean side.

And baring any unforeseen hitches, he will start training with the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the 2010/2011 Glo Premier League season. Already, he had started training with the ‘Red Army’ but a minor injury has compelled him to take a breather .

The 2008/2009 top scorer told Happy FM’s Charles Osei Asibey on the “Where are they?” segment of the Anopa bosuo sports programme that he has already appended his signature to conclude a contractual agreement with Kotoko, and will be wearing the 17 shirt when the season commences on September 5.

Asamoah, a former player of Berekum Arsenal and Ashgold revealed that he has purposed to lift up his game in the forthcoming season to realize his dream of plying his trade beyond the shores of this country.

He noted that it has been his dream to tow the line of players like Prince Tagoe, Sam Yeboah and others who gained foreign contracts after finishing the league as top scorers, who incidentally are his play mates.
