Akwatia Frankfurt F/C to represent Eastern Region

Koforidua, Dec. 29, GNA- Akwatia-based Frankfurt F/C beat their local rivals Deelorm Academy 2-1 in the final match of the Eastern Region under-17 Colts Middle League played at Koforidua on Saturday, to qualify to represent the region in the National Milo Colts Under-17 tournament.

Deelorm beat Asec 2-0 at the semi-final stage before reaching the finals while Frankfurt drew a by. In the under-14 final match, Frankfurt FC also beat Deelorm 1-0, but Deelorm lodged a protest against Frankfurt for fielding of an unqualified player.

The result of the protest will then determine whether Frankfurt' under-14 side would also represent the region.
