Aids Awareness Cup On Saturday

The week long AIDS awareness campaign for the Muslim youth in the Ayawawo East and Central electoral areas will be rounded off with a football match between Nima XI and Accra New Town XI at the Kotobabi SWAG Park on Saturday.

According to the Muslim Family Counsellor, a Muslim NGO headed by Chief Alhaji Imoro Baba Issah, there will be Qur'anic and poetry recitals by the youth of the Islamic schools in the two electoral areas and lectures on the dangers of HIV/AIDS by eminent Muslim scholars.

Mr. Nuru Bremansu team manager of the Accra New Town team said his players will include Nurudeen Raja, Ahmed Okine, Afrifa Minta, Ali Abubakari Abbass and Santo.

The team manger of Nima Town XI, Awalu Angu is likely to parade a formidable team including Johnson Oklu, Abdul Razak and other players in the Black Meteors group from Nima.

Sheikh Yahaya Ameen will present certificates and other awards to deserving youths in the Qur'anic and poetry recitals whilst Sheikh Dan Alpha will present the Aid Awareness Cup to the winner of the football encounter.
