Agyeman-badu Modest With Udinese Surge

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu has played down Udinese’s title challenge after an impressive start to the season.

The Little Zebras moved to joint leaders on the Serie A table after Sunday’s goalless draw at Cagliari.

The box-to-box middle man and compatriot Kwadwo Asamoah have been instrumental in the club’s modest achievement so far.

Udinese have drawn with champions AC Milan away, beaten Lecce and Fiorentina to amass 8 points from 12.

But Badu says he and his teammates are not getting carried away by their bright start.

“Our main aim is to get 40 points which will ensure we escape relegation after that we can see what will happen,” Badu told GHANAsoccernet.com

“Many people did not give us the chance because we lost three key players- Sanchez, Inler and Zapata this summer but the new and old players are doing well.

“We want to tackle one match at a time before we can say we will win the Scudetto.”
