Agogo set for Greek move

Greek side Panionios are in the lead for the signature of Ghana striker Junior Agogo as several European have expressed interest in the striker.

Agogo looks set to snub overtures from his former club Zamalek, whose new chairman Mamdouh Abass is seeking the return of the forward.

Newly promoted French top flight club Lens, German club Maniz 05 and Turkish giants Besiktas are reported to be keen on Agogo.

But Panionios are said to be keen to meet all the financial terms for the striker to move within the next month.

The only sticking point is the battle with Zamalek over the rights of the player who has reported them to Fifa for unpaid wages.

Fifa is expected to rule on the matter later this month.

Agogo, together with ex-Inter Milan player Alvaro Recoba will join fellow Ghanaian midfielder Bennard Yao Cumordzi in the Greece league if the deal goes through
