Aggrey Memorial Zion School whips Aburaman 6-0

Cape Coast, Jan 11, GNA - Aggrey Memorial Zion Secondary School reaped goal harvest, when they spanked their Aburaman Secondary School counterparts 6-0 in the Central Region Inter-Schools and Colleges Milo soccer league match at the Robert Mensah stadium on Wednesday.

The brain behind the free scoring spree of the Aggrey lads was midfielder, Meshak Mensah who scored a hat trick to end the first half. On resumption of the second half, Aburaman started the game strongly and kept their opponents goal area boiling but their strikers failed to utilize the chances that came their way.

Aggrey Memorial again forced the tide in their favour in the 60th minute when inside right Solomon Deku, raised their goal tally to four. Centre half Joseph Goodie increased the scores to five in the 68th minute through a spot kick.

The Aggrey lads who seemed not satisfied with their goal build-up continued to pile pressure on the defence-less Aburaman lads and it came as no surprise when right winger, Frank Damoah sealed their doom by scoring the sixth goal in a goal mouth scramble.

In another match played at the same venue, Cape Coast Technical Institute thrashed Agona Eguafo Abrem Secondary School 3-0.
