African Origin Travels gets green-light for Stars-Korea game

Accra, May 6, GNA - A renowned travel agency, African Origin Travels and Sports Tourism have been accredited as the official travel agents for the Black Stars friendly match against South Korea on June 7 in Seoul.

This gives the agency the mandate to organize the airlifting of supporters, media personnel and the general public to South Korea for the international friendly.

A letter signed by the Deputy General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association, (GFA) Emmanuel Gyimah addressed to the Embassy of South Korea in Accra confirmed the authorization of the travel agency. "We write to officially introduce African Origin Travels as agents responsible for traveling and ticketing arrangements for our supporters and well-meaning Ghanaians wishing to watch the international friendly match between the Black Stars and the South Korea national team in Seoul on June 7, 2011'" the letter read. Samson Deen, Chief Executive of African Origin Travels and Sports Tourism told GNA Sports that his outfit is working around the clock to ensure a smooth facilitation of ticketing and traveling arrangements for football fans wishing to travel to South Korea. With the approval of Kamsports, organizers of the match, he said his company has entered into a partnership with Lufthansa Airlines to airlift fans for the game.

Yannick Aplogan, General Manager of Lufthansa observed that departure has been set for June 4 and 5, with the return billed for June 9 and 10.

Meanwhile, African Origin Travels and Sports Tourism have also been accredited by the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) for the impending World Athletics Championship slated for 24 August to September 4 in Daegu, Korea. The travel agency also successfully organized fans for the historic Ghana-England friendly in Wembley last March.
