Afful's Esperance kicked out in Champions League

Ghana left-back Harrison Afful and his Tunisian side Esperence du Tunis failed to reach the final of the CAF Champions League after drawing 1-1 with Orlando Pirates on Saturday evening.

Esperance du Tunis started the game as favourites after they drew 0-0 with the South African side in South Africa.

But could not maintain their advantage as they drew 1-1 with Pirates at the Stade Olympique de Radès in Tunisia.

Afful was replaced in 57th minute after his side went down, but they managed to draw level but couldn’t get the match winning goal.

This leaving the South African side to qualify for the finals on the away goal ruling.

Aful scored the winning goal for his side during the 2011/2012 CAF Champions league Final.
