Aduana Stars deny Lions' bribery claim

lt is alleged that Aduana Stars FC in their bid to win the Glo-Premier league trophy in their debut season in Ghana's top flight league, have attempted a bribe and match fixing plot with the captain of their next opponent, Heart of Lions at Lincoln Hotel in Accra.

One Stephen who is believed to have been sent by Aduana officials lured Edmund Owusu Ansah, captain of Lions to Lincoln hotel to give him money in order to win the match against them to boost their title ambition.

According to Frimpong Manso, their player was called by private number and the man who was using Toyota Mastera with registration number GR 3532 10 wanted to bribe him at the hotel and he refused. the allegation continues that the man also told the player that, the referee for the game Patrick Agigo Aziza had been already been sort out by Aduana officials so left with Heart of Lions to also cave in.

Officials of Aduana have since refute this allegation, Operational Manager of the club George Gyau describing the alleged scandal as baseless and challenging Lions to come out with an evidence if it is true. Mr. Gyau added that Aduana don't even know that man, Stephen and that Toyota car they are talking about. The people of Brong Ahafo upon hearing this story are saying that why didn't Edmund Owusu Ansah collect the said bribe money and why didnt he raise an alarm for the arrest of that guy?

Meanwhile ArkSports investigations have revealed that Heart of Lions players have not received their salary for four months and the club could be headed for crisis with an intended players' boycott.
