Adu-Poku Given One Week To Refund ?3.3m

THE management of Prestea Mine Stars has ordered the former skipper of Asante Kotoko, Prince Adu-Poku, to return a sum of ?3.3m he collected from the club as an advance payment of his signing-on fee with the pretext to play for them this season.

According to a statement signed by the chairman of the club, Alhaji Abdulai, Adu-Poku upon collecting the said amount went to his Kumasi base with the assurance of joining his colleagues to prepare for their league match against Accra Hearts of Oak at Prestea.

“He never set his foot at Prestea again. An S.O.S. message was sent to him on two consecutive times to refund the amount but he defied these calls”, the statement revealed.

In view of this, the management of the club has given Adu-Poku one week after this publication to refund the money or be put before the law court.
