Ghana winger Albert Adomah scored a classic goal as his English second tier side Middlesbrough enjoyed a successful outing as part of their Spanish training camp by claiming a 3-1 win over League Two side Leyton Orient in a behind-closed-doors game in Marbella.

Albert Adomah, Adam Forshaw and Kike grabbed the goals as Aitor Karanka’s side continued to impress.

Middlesbrough made it two wins from two pre-season friendlies by overcoming a resilient Leyton Orient side.

The first half was one for the purists and the few watching spectators had little in the way of highlights to savour.

That’s not to say it was poor fare, simply the teams cancelled each other out in a congested midfield.

Fortunately, moments before the half-time whistle, Albert Adomah produced a moment of magic to put his team in front.

Albert Adomah’s goal was a moment of magic, a touch of pure class.

Receiving Dani Ayala’s incoming pass inside the penalty area, he took a touch to control the ball before lofting a beautiful chip over the keeper and into the net.

The Boro boss wanted his side to play at a higher tempo but still declared himself satisfied with the evening’s work.
