Adomah, Banahene out of Turkey friendly

Middlesborough’s new signing, Albert Adomah, and Emmanuel Banahene would not be part of the Black Stars friendly against Turkey tomorrow due to varying reasons.

Sanliurfaspor striker Banahene, who has had his first national team call-up, is injured while Adomah has asked to be excused to help him settle at his new club, Middlesbrough.

The withdrawal of both players leaves Kwesi Appiah with 19 players for the game.

The Stars arrived in Istanbul yesterday for their final preparation for tomorrow’s game.

TP Mazembe midfielder Solomon Asante was the only player who travelled from Accra with coach Kwesi Appiah and the rest of his technical team the previous night.

New call-up, goalkeeper Razak Braimah and FC Porto's Christian Atsu were the first to arrive in the Ghana camp before the delegation from Accra.

The rest of the 21-man team arrived later in the afternoon and the team had the first training session later in the evening.
