Adiyiah signing not my idea -Milan Coach

Milan coach Leonardo has explained that he was not the one behind the signing of Dominic Adiyiah.

Adiyah has been earning rave reviews after winning helping Ghana win the Under-20 World Cup - he also won the Man of the Tournament and the top scorer with eight goals.

"I watched almost all of the Under-20 competition because it is interesting to me, especially as I once played in it," explained Rossoneri Coach Leonardo on football-italia.net.

"In all honesty, the decision to sign Adiyiah came from Adriano Galliani and Ariedo Braida. It's impressive being the best player in the World Cup, I am happy at his arrival and am confident he'll do well.

"He will be with us from January. Right now he needs to continue playing with his national team. He is young and a signing for the future."

The deal almost didn't go through and it was reported big clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United and Barcelona were in negotiations for Adiyiah.
