Addo slams loss of concentration by team

Wad Madany, Sudan, Feb. 10, GNA - Local Black Stars coach Herbert Ad= do has slammed his team's loss of concentration in the dying stages of their game against their Zimbabwean counterparts on Wednesday in Wad Madany, Sudan. The Stars were realistically bundled out of the tournament after losin= g 0-1 to Zimbabwe in their Group B day two clash, their second successive los= s at the on-going African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.

Coach Addo said at a post-match interview that his team paid dearly fo= r the loss of concentration when it mattered most. "We lost concentration at a very crucial time of the game. We starte= d very well with the 4-4-2 system with Bismark Idan and Gilbert Fiamenyo on the attack.

"We were very effective on the right of attack with Godfred Saka doi= ng the runs, but we failed to score. The same defensive errors cost us again.= " The Stars' trainer said his team will go all out against Niger in th= eir next game to redeem their fast-fading image.

"We have nothing to lose and we have to change our tactical set up t= o get a win. We will go all out but the result depends on the work rate of th= e boys." The Stars play Niger on Sunday at Wad Madany, and the outcome will pla= y no role in their continued stay in the tournament.
