Ada Assurance moves closer to title

Ada Assurance moved closer to the Beach Soccer league title courtesy a 7-0 thrashing of relegation-bound Tegbi Youth in the penultimate round of matches at the weekend.

The win takes them ahead of Sunset Sports on the league table via goal difference despite the latter recording a 3-0 win over Havedzi.

In the other matches, striker Uriel Appienti scored a quick hat- trick to power East Legon Sharks over Teshie Stars.

La Yoca managed a record-setting 10-8 win over neighbours Wuo Gbe, whilst Dansoman beat Nungua 5 -4 in another thrilling encounter.

In the Division One League, high-scoring Nima Beach Soccer Club grabbed a remarkable 12-2 victory over Tema United. The Nima side tops the league on goal difference despite sharing same point with Gulf Powers, which also managed a 3-0 win over Senya Sharks.

In the other games, African Angels beat Winneba Giants 4-2 while Golden Eagles and Cape Coast warriors played out a 4-4 draw.
