Accam's hardwork earned him World Cup call - Tom Vernon

Chief executive officer of Right to Dream Academy, Tom Vernon says David Accam’s inclusion in the Black Stars provisional squad cannot be attributed to a stroke of luck.

David Accam this season has been instrumental for Helsingborg Football Club scoring 12 goals in all competitions so far and Tom Venom believes David Titi Accam is a sure bet for Coach James Kwesi Appiah’s final squad for the showpiece in Brazil come next month.

“He has shown all these while that hard work really pays. Obviously, I believe he can live up to expectation in Brazil but it lies at the doorsteps of the Coach whether he can bring his fine form to the team. He is scoring in every game for his team and for me, he will be [an] asset for the Black Stars,” Vernon said.

Accam will once again be teaming up with his Right To Dream Academy colleague Majeed Waris at the national camp when the Black Stars begin preparations towards the World Cup on May 20.
