Abreshia United chalk a narrow win

Cape Coast, Aug. 28, GNA - Abreshia United gained a narrow 2-1 victory over Effutu Citrus Professionals in their Central Region Division Two League match played at Abreshia. Abreshia United scored the opener in the 22nd minute through midfielder Kingsford Arthur with Citrus Professionals managing to pull even through centre half, Yeboah Patrick, before the end of the half. Back from recess, both teams entered the match with vigour but it was Abreshia United who had the edge in their attack and scored the match winner through Stephen Arhin in the 88th minute. Results of other matches were, Cape Coast Venomous Vipers drew 0-0 with Jukwa Surowi United, Cape Coast Liberty Rainbow spanked Agona Shallom F/C 2-0 with Cape Coast Nadel Rovers drawing 1-1 with Oguaa United.

Bronyibima F/C drew goalless with Nsamka, Striking Force were held by 0-0 by Galaxy F/C, Kampsite drew 1-1 against Bronby, Mighty Youngsters pipped End Time F/C 1-0 and Ako Stars beat Schalka 04 1-0. Asaase F/C beat Apata Kofi F/C 2-1 with Albafos also beating Real Oman United 3-2. 28 Aug. 09
