Aboagye yearns for Black Stars call-up

Ghana Under-20 star Clifford Aboagye is hoping for the moment that he will play for the Black Stars after an impressive output at junior national team level.

However, the 18-year-old who was adjudged World Youth Championship third-best player, believes he can only relish that dream when he gives his all at club level.

Aboagye is on loan at Spanish side Granada from Udinese and wants to improve in order to gain that promotion at national level.

“Black Stars? Why not? Every Ghanaian player’s dream is to play for the Black Stars so I will welcome it,” the former Inter Allies player told Graphic Sports.

He added: “I have played in all eight matches so far and I have scored four and assisted three times.”

Aboagye helped Ghana’s Black Satellites to win bronze during the World U20 World Cup in Turkey this year.
