Abeiku Ainooson’s own goal condemned Al Hilal to a 1-0 defeat to Libyan side Ahly Tripoli in their CAF Champions League first qualifying round first leg tie.

The on-loan defender, playing in his preferred centre-back role, saw his sliding attempt to cut out a cross from the right into his own goal on 17 minutes

That mishap did not hurt his confidence as Ainooson lasted the entire duration of the match.

Compatriots Kennedy Ashia and Nelson Ladzagla were unused substitute.

Al Hilal will host the Libyan side on 20 March in Khartoum.
