Abedi Pele To Give Lecture At FIFA Congress

Ghanaian FA member and Soccer Ambassador, Abedi Ayew Pele would today give a lecture at the Extraordinary FIFA Congress in Buenos Aires on the immense social and educational value that football is able to provide to children.

Another eminent speaker at the seminar would be former French national team coach, Aime Jacquet. The two would address the assembly and suggest ways to further use the power of the game for the good of society in general.

The seminar will also examine how the game of football in schools benefits children as well as the benefits of football in educational terms in countries where national associations have persuaded their respective governments to introduce the sport into state schools.

It would have the opportunity to assess the social value of the game with respect to equality between races, religions and even social classes.

The second part of the seminar will be devoted to football schools or football academies, analysing in detail the merits of such institutions but also their dangers.
